Hi Everyone! Many of you have begun your Tech lessons in your Technology Google Classroom, but many of you haven't. Please login to  Google Classroom
and click on your Tech, Music, and Art Google Classrooms to see what lessons are required.  In Tech, the assignment you want to concentrate on is your Code.org lessons. Look for the assignment on your stream (i.e. the "homepage" for your Tech GC) and follow the directions. ALL grades are doing Code until June 10. I'm looking for those who are trying their hardest to get as much done until June 10. If you need assistance, please email me at l.kochanek@schoolsofwestfield.org and I will help you.
Keep going, my techie friends! We're almost done with the school year! You can do this! ~Mr. Kochanek

UPDATE: 04.06.20
Hi Kids! If you haven't visited your Technology Google Classroom yet, make sure you do to keep up with our online lessons!

Hello! Welcome to my homepage. My name is Mr. Kochanek, and I'm the technology teacher at SRS. I'm so excited to be here, and I hope to teach many new skills using the technology available to us.

I've been teaching for over 30 years, all in the Westfield Public School system. I've been a 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, resource room, and tech teacher at both Juniper Park School and Papermill School.  My goal is to help train our kids to be responsible tech users while they learn the MA Digital Literacy and Computer Science curriculum.

I have many projects for your kids to create while they're with me in the computer lab!

If you haven't done so already, please have your child bring in a pair of inexpensive headphones or earbuds (no mic required) to leave in his/her classroom. Over-the-head headphones work much better with K-1 students! Please try them on before they're sent to school. If you could place them in a Zip-loc type bag with your child's name and homeroom number clearly marked on it, that would be so helpful. Thank you!
