Welcome To Mrs. Hagar's Classroom
Dear Parents/Guardians:
I want to welcome you and your child to fifth grade. Just to give you a little information on myself, I taught fourth grade at SRS last year and previous to that, I was a fifth grade teacher at Paper Mill Elementary School. When I was told, only about two weeks ago, that I would be teaching fifth grade, I was so excited. I do have about eight of my students from last year, but I am really excited about meeting all my new students. I know that this is going to be a great year and I hope your child feels the same way.
I have come up with my own list of supplies that the students will need; I am hoping you haven’t already gone out and bought supplies, but on the fifth grade list you received, there are a few things that we won’t be using and they are costly. I do not want a 5-subject trapper keeper; they are too bulky for their desk and/or lockers. Listed below is what is needed:
Supplies
- #2 pencils with erasers
- 2 glue sticks
- Colored pencils
- Two different color highlighters
- 5 two-pocket folders (the plain colored ones)
- 3 one-subject spiral notebooks (Staples has them on sale now for 17 cents)
- 2 composition notebooks
- Dry erase markers and a piece of cloth to use as an eraser
- Scissors
- A box of tissues or two
- Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer for the classroom is appreciated
Thank you,
Mrs. Hagar
